PowerSchool Entering / Updating Historical Course Grades

Historical grades in PowerSchool refer to grades that students have received in past terms or years. These grades are important for maintaining a comprehensive academic record and are used for various purposes, such as transcripts, GPA calculations, and academic history reviews.

Entering Historical Course Grades

  1. Select the student from the Start Page.

  2. Academic Records>Academic Performance>Historical Course Grades.

  1. Click on Single New Entry.

  1. To add historical courses using letter grades (convert percentages to A, B, C, etc) follow the screenshot below. Do Not Use for “P’s” (Passing)

To add historical courses with “P’s” (Passing)

Updating Historical Course Grades

  1. Select Student from Start Page.

  2. Academic Records>Academic Performance>Historical Course Grades.

  3. If two grades for the same course exist (ex. M4 & Y1) both must be changed but ONLY the term Y1 earns credit if changing from E to a passing letter grade.

A. Updating M1, M2, M3, M4, S1 & S2

B. Updating Y1 term.
