The following guide will provide information on processing Teacher Referrals in PowerSchool SIS Admin.

How to Process Teacher Referrals with Screenshots

  1. Login to PowerSchool Admin with your school district account and password

  2. Open the People Menu → Students → All Incidents

  3. You will see all the Teacher Referrals in the All Incidents screen for your school if you have the Incident Element set to Incident Type. Click the Teacher Referrals button to see all the current referrals to process.

  4. In the Incident Details section, you will see all the details that was enter by the Teacher filling out the incident. You can modify this information if needed.

NOTE: Don’t change the Incident Type at this time, that will be the last thing you change

  1. In the Incident Builder section below the Incident Description, you can add additional participants if needed by utilizing the + symbol and adding Incident Elements for Behavior, Objects, Actions, and Attribute

Behavior = What the Student Did
Action = Discipline for Student
Object = Used with weapon to denote weapon
Attribute = Safe2Say

  1. After adding an Incident Element you will need to drag and drop the Incident Element to the Appropiate Participants section to apply the Incident Element

     

  2. Finally, Change the Incident Type to either Code of Conduct or PA State Reportable then click Submit Incident at the bottom of the form
