How to Find or Identify Virtual Academy Students

This article will show the steps to locate Virtual Academy Students within Synergy AdminVue, along with a second section showing an example of the notification that you will see if a student is part of Virtual Academy.

How to Find Virtual Academy Student

Ensure you have the ‘Focus’ set to the correct school before searching (upper right-hand corner)

  1. Open the Pad Tree Menu → Synergy SIS → Student, and click on 'Student'

  2. On the Student page, click on the magnifying glass (at top) to enter the Find mode (fields will turn yellow)

  3. Click on the 'Enrollment' tab

  4. Under the ‘Enrollment Activity’ category near the bottom, do the following:

    • Click the drop-down menu for Type of Instruction

    • Add a checkmark next to Virtual Academy, and click beside the box to finish selection

  5. Click ‘Find’ (located at the top of the page)

  6. You will see a list of all Virtual Academy students within the current ‘Focus’ (the individual schools or district-wide)

     


How to Identify if a student attends Virtual Academy

 

Ensure you have the ‘Focus’ set to the correct school before searching (upper right-hand corner)

  1. Open the Pad Tree Menu → Synergy SIS → Student, and click on 'Student'

  2. Use the magnifying glass to search for a student

  3. If the student is part of the Virtual Academy, you will see a special icon in the student notification area (upper right-hand corner of the page).

    • The icon may also be found on the ‘Enrollment’ tab

 

IMPORTANT: Moving forward, if your building receives a request for a student to change from in-person learning to Virtual Academy, the office secretary can update the student enrollment's ‘Type of Instruction’ and then notify the appropriate grade level virtual principals to get the student scheduled.
