What is a Pending Employee Record?

Once a candidate has been chosen for a job posting Human Resources will begin the new hire process by selecting the Begin Hire button. After selecting the checkbox Create user account for this candidate in your ERP and other integrated products checkbox and selecting submit, a Pending Employee Record will be created in eFinance.

 How to View Pending Employee Records

Viewing pending employee records is accomplished through eFinancePlus.

  1. Start by navigating to the following path: Human Resources → Entry & Processing → Employee → Employee Information

  2. Clear any existing search filters and apply the following search criteria:
    Department → 99 - UT DEPARTMENT PLACE HOLDER

  3. Select the blue Search button and all users that are still pending will be populated.

    They will also have Add Pending under the Pending Status

Any employee with the Add Pending status will continue to be in pending status until they submit all required documentation and HR/Payroll upload the data and selects the Finish button. The employee is then transitioned to an active employee and the Add Pending status is removed.

The Pending Employee Center lets you complete the necessary pages to add the employee as an active employee in eFinancePlus.

A pending employee can still be processed in a pay run, provided all payroll-related pages are completed.
