Password Saved on Public Computer

Password was saved on a public computer. Saving passwords on public computers creates opportunities for strangers to log in to your accounts. 

Instructions

Below are instructions for each internet browser to delete saved passwords.

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Click the menu icon available on the top-right corner.

  3. Press Settings.

  4. If no user is signed in the first group of options should be titled Person 1; otherwise, it might show a particular username.

  5. Select the Passwords tab and look for Saved Passwords.

  6. Locate the password you wish to erase.

  7. Click the More Actions icon (three dots) on the right side.

  8. Select Remove and the password will be deleted.

  9. Close the password settings tab.

  1. Launch the browser.

  2. Press the menu button.

  3. Select Options and go to the Privacy & Security tab.

  4. Find the Forms & Passwords option.

  5. Click the Saved Logins option available below the Exceptions button.

  6. Press Remove All to erase all saved passwords at once or select separate passwords and click Remove.

  7. Press Close to finish.

  1. Go to the Safari menu.

  2. Choose Preferences.

  3. Search for the AutoFill tab.

  4. Press the Edit button for both Usernames and Passwords.

  5. Select entries you wish to erase and press Delete.

  6. Close the Preferences window.

It is also recommended to change the password if it was saved in an internet browser to make sure that the account will not be compromised
