Searching for Contacts (X4U)

X4U phones are typically in classrooms or offices. If you’re a secretary or admin, please use the guide for X7U Phones.

 Manually Searching for Contacts

  1. On the Home Screen of the phone, press the Contact button to open the contacts on the phone.

  2. Use the OK hardkey button to show All Contacts

    1. All entries will be sorted by alphabetical order from top to bottom.

  3. Use the Arrow Keys to scroll up and down to select a number to dial

  4. Press the Dial softkey once hovering over a contact ready to call

    1. TOUCH SCREEN PHONES: Use your finger to touch the respective option to dial a number

       

 Searching for Contact by Name

  1. Press the Contact softkey followed by the Search softkey. This will bring you to a blank screen with the ability to type in names/numbers to search for.

     

  2. To ONLY type letters or number press the softkey button show as 2aB on the screen - this will let you search by the following:

    1. Lower case letters

    2. Upper case letters

    3. Numbers

    4. Both (Default)
