Elementary, Middle, and High School Schedule Differences
Elementary School Schedules - Schedules for students in elementary school will show all the courses they are enrolled in, but not when the different subjects will be covered in class or when students will attend their specials each day. You will receive a detailed schedule from the teacher that shows what the daily schedule will look like.
Middle School Schedules - The middle school runs on a semi-block schedule and a 6-day cycle. When looking at the schedule please consider the following:
Courses that span two periods (P1-P2) are block classes.
These courses take place at the beginning of the day (Periods 1-6).
The numbers that follow the period are the days that the class meets (this can be 1,3,5 or 2,4,6)
Periods 7-9 are single periods and meet on different days during the 6-day cycle.
In the example below, the student has the following classes in Period 7:
High School Schedules - The high school runs on a block schedule and an A/B cycle. When looking at the Current Year's Schedule please consider the following:
Students are scheduled for lunch in either period 5, 6, or 7. Students who eat period 6 have a split block - they attend the same class before and after lunch.
Lunch may not be during the same period on A and B days.
