  • Switching Adobe License from device based to User based

    Updating Adobe Creative Cloud license from the device license to the user license without re-installing the application.

     Instructions

    1. Delete file: (will need administrator privileges to delete this file)

      1. Windows: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\OperatingConfigs

        1. May need to enable “see hidden files”

      2. MacOS: Desktop/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OperatingConfigs

        1. Make sure it is on the root (need to look at path bar) don’t want to be in the user folder want to
          be on the “desktop”

    2. Restart the machine

      1. Dont have to restart the device if the user is using a MAC

    3. Send the following link to the user

      1. https://acrs.adobe.com/go/e981c04c-8506-4eac-905f-7b8f3b540719

    4. Have User login to their email and click on the click above

    5. Select “Sign in with Google” option

      1. Dont not type your email address in, it will not activate the new license

    6. Open Adobe Creative Cloud App

    7. Sign out of Adobe CC app

    8. Sign back in with the users account

    9. Verify new license is activated by open Acrobat or Photoshop (or any other CC app)
