Changing Alerts and Notifications in Canvas
Preferences for when, why and how frequently parents receive alerts and notifications can easily be set up at the account level. Parents using the mobile app can set up alerts that are received through the app. However, if parents want to manage the number of email notifications they receive from Canvas, they need to log into the website to modify the notification settings.
Website
In the Global Navigation bar, choose Account.
Then Notifications
For each Canvas activity, you have four options:
If you are not sure what the Canvas activity means, hover your mouse over the name of the activity and a explanation will appear in a pop-up window.
iOS/Android
Open the menu in the upper left corner.
Choose Manage Students. Tap the name of a student
Adjust the alert settings to your preference. This process needs to be repeated for each student.
