How to Mirror Display while Projecting

This is how to change the mirroring settings of a Macbook to display two separate windows, one on the Macbook screen and the other on the projector screen

System Preferences

  1. Turn on the projector and plug in the dongle

  2. Click the Apple Symbol in the top left corner of the screen and click System Preferences

Display Settings

  1. Click Displays

  2. Click the Arrangement tab

Mirror Display

  1. Uncheck the Mirror Display button

A window can now be dragged all the way to the right to display on the projector screen while other windows can be kept on the teacher screen
