How to Change Refresh Rate on Ventura

This solution will most likely be used to solve issues with the long-run HDMI projectors in LGI or APRs, for example, when you connect a laptop to HDMI, and the external display shows up in settings, but won't actually project. 

Instructions

  1. Connect to external monitor.

  2. Open System Preferences.

  3. Go to Displays

    1. Confirm the second monitor is showing as an option.

  4. Choose the secondary monitor (NOT Built in display)

  5. Choose the Refresh Rate option and click on the dropdown.

  6. Change to 50/60 hz as needed

  7. Display should automatically update.
