How to fix YouTube Brand Account issue

Problem

This guide is meant to fix user accounts who are receiving the YouTube Brand Account Disabled screen students get on their Chromebooks

Solution

Have student open Chromebook and display the YouTube Brand Account Disabled screen

  1. In the URL bar, type in the following link then press Enter: https://www.youtube.com/channel_switcher

    1. If Step 2 did not take you to the Channel Switcher page, continue to Step 4

  2.  Click on the SCASD Account Channel

  3. If you are back on the YouTube Brand Account Disabled page, scroll down and click the YouTube channel switcher link - this should take you to the page shown in Step 3 which is where the SCASD Account should now be selected
