How to Connect Your BYOD Device to SCASD-Enterprise
This article will walk you through the steps of putting your cell phone on the SCASD-Enterprise network. Each employee is allowed to connect their personal cell phone to the SCASD-Enterprise network.
Only one device per employee is allowed. Device is limited to an iOS or Android device.
If you get a new phone, please put in a ticket with IT Services to get your new phone on the network.
Instructions
To enroll your device and connect to SCASD-Enterprise, use the device you intend to connect:
Connect to either SCASD-Guest or use cellular data
Go to the https://wireless.scasd.org via your device's internet browser.
Use the guide below depending on if you are connecting an iPhone or Android phone
Connecting an iPhone
Tap on the red JoinNow
Tap Allow in the popup box
Tap your device, in this case it’s iPhone
Tap Close on the small Profile Downloaded
Open the Settings app, tap on Profile Downloaded button
Tap Install (you may need to enter your passcode if one is set on your iPhone)
Tap on Install, then install again
Lastly, Settings > About > (Scroll all the way down) Certificate Trust Settings > Enable “DigiCert Global Root G2
Done! You should now connect to the SCASD-Enterprise network with your enrolled device!
Certification re-install error
If the certificate is removed from your device, you will need to submit a Help Desk ticket to have it validated again
Connecting an Android phone
Download the JoinNow app by tapping the download button
Install and Open the app in the Play Store
Sign in using your SCASD Google account. If it doesn’t automatically take you to the Google sign-on page, tap next
It should automatically bring you back to the JoinNow app, tap next
Click Save
Tap Go to Settings. SCASD-Enterprise should automatically connect but you may have to select it in the menu
