  • How to re-enroll a Chromebook in SecureW2

    If a Chromebook will not join a wireless network, there may be an invalid certificate on the Chromebook. This certificate will need to be removed and then the device will need to be re-enrolled to get a valid cert.

     Instructions

    1. Log in to the Chromebook with your employee account (can’t be student account)

    2. Open Chrome and in the address bar type: chrome://settings/certificates

    3. Under Manage Certificates, click on the heading ‘Your Certificates’

    4. For each certificate click on the 3-dots and then click Delete - ensure there are no remaining certificates

    5. Click on the puzzle piece in the upper right-hand corner and click ‘SecureW2 Certificate Auto’

    6. On the ‘SecureW2 Certificate Auto-Enrollment Extension' page click 'Enroll for Certificate’

    7. Once the certificate is loaded, the Chromebook will auto-connect to SCASD-Enterprise

    It may take some time for the Chromebook to authenticate and connect to the new network. If it does not connect within 1-2 minutes, try to manually connect to the network.
