Add a PC to the Domain

Please follow this guide when adding a PC to the Domain.

Instructions

  1. On the Start screen, type Control Panel, and then press ENTER.

  2. Navigate to System and Security, and then click System.

     

  3. Under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, click Change settings.

     

  4. On the Computer Name tab, click Change.

     

  5. Set Computer Name to the naming convention.

Naming Convention

Current naming scheme is as follows: BuildingRoom-SCASD (i.e HS150-00W0000). 
The "W" replacing the "-" in the SCASD stands for Windows.

 

6. Under Member of, click Domain, type ad.scasd.org for the domain, and then click OK.

7. Use the administrative account to join the domain.

8. Click OK, and then restart the computer.
