Bluetooth Handset Not Working

Problem

Issues with Bluetooth Handsets are normally narrowed down to two main issues. These can be identified by the light on the inside of the handset. It will either be orange or displaying no indicator.

Solution

Orange Lights:

  1. The phone may have lost its connection to the base station and need to be synced.

  2. Remove the battery from the handset

  3. Unplug the connection

  4. Unplug Ethernet from LAN connection on the bottom of the base station

  5. Replug Ethernet

  6. Once the phone boots up correctly, insert the battery in the handset.

  7. Push both buttons on the handset and hold till there is a beep.

  8. After the sync has completed, the light on the handset will turn green.

No Indicator Lights:

The battery may be dead and the handset will need to be on the cradle for a while in order to charge. If the battery is not holding a charge or dying often, please clean the metal contacts where the phone meets the receiver.

If there is power on the handset but it doesn't seem to be working, try rebooting the handset (not the phone).  Please follow the below steps to accomplish this:

  1. Press and hold the larger button on the handset

  2. There will be a quick beep, but keep holding until there is a chime.

  3. Wait a few seconds and then repeat to turn the handset back on.

  4. The handset can then be set in the cradle and within a few seconds, it will reconnect to the phone.
