Google Classroom - Creating Class, Assignments, and Syncing with PowerSchool

You can create assignments in Google Classroom that sync with PowerSchool Teacher Pro. Follow this simple guide to get your Google Classroom assignments to sync with PowerSchool.

  1. Go to Google Classroom and Create a new Class and choose the appropriate PowerSchool Class to link to Google Classroom.

  2. After the class has been built and the students have imported you can create a new assignment to sync with PowerSchool Teacher Pro

  3. In the Assignment creation window, you need to give the assignment a title, instructions, due date, category (matches PowerSchool), and assignment points value then click Assign

  4. After the assignment has been created and students have turned in work you can grade the assignment in Grades

  5. In the Grading window enter grades for assignments and return work to students. Note: Grades will not sync if the grades are not returned to students

  6. Finally, you need to Export Grades to SIS to sync with PowerSchool. Note: This is a manual process and needs to be done after returning grades to students it does not automatically run.
