Excel Trust Settings

Problem

Windows users that are accessing Microsoft Excel files through network shares sometimes experience slow loading times and speed issues while working within the sheets. Follow this guide to help clear up those issues.

Solution

  1. Open Excel

    1. Click File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trust Locations

    2. Put a checkmark in Allow trusted locations on my network and click Ok

  2. Click the Advanced tab and scroll down to the General heading and then put a check mark in Ignore other applications that use DDE
