Setting Up Duo Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Your Cell Phone

Follow these steps to set up Duo 2FA on your smartphone:

1. Install Duo Mobile App:

   • Download and install the Duo Mobile app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

2. Receive Enrollment Email:

   • You will receive an email invitation from Duo to enroll in 2FA. Open this email on your smartphone and click on the long blue hyperlink to start enrollment.

3. Begin Enrollment:

   • This link will direct you to the Duo enrollment page. Follow the steps on the screen and log in with your SCASD credentials.

4. Complete Setup:

   • Respond to Duo Mobile even faster by enabling notifications. You'll see new Duo Push requests when they arrive at your device, and can approve or deny from the notification without opening the app. Tap Allow notifications.

5. Test Duo 2FA:

   • After completing the setup, test Duo 2FA by logging into a district application. Enter your username and password, then approve the Duo push notification sent to your phone. You will be prompted to Approve or Deny the logon of your account. If you are trying to access your account, click approve. If you get a Duo push notification to sign into your account when you are NOT currently trying to sign into your account, please reach out to IT Services.
