How to Recover or Change Your SCASD Password via MyAccount

Whether you’ve forgotten your password or just want to update it, Microsoft’s self-service portal makes it easy. SCASD staff can recover access using their registered mobile phone number—either by text or call. Students can reset their password via MyAccount, but will need to contact the IT Services Helpdesk or visit a Tech Center to recover their password.


🔁 Forgot Your Password? Here’s How to Recover It

Applies to SCASD employee accounts using Microsoft 365

✅ Steps:

  1. Go to myaccount.microsoft.com.

  2. Click “Can’t access your account?” or “Forgot password?”.

  3. Enter your SCASD email address and the characters shown on screen.

  4. Choose “I forgot my password” and click Next.

  5. Select your recovery method:

    • Text message to your mobile phone

    • Phone call to your mobile phone

📱 SCASD uses mobile phone verification only—make sure your number is up to date in your account settings.

  1. Enter the verification code you receive.

  2. Create a new password and confirm it.

✅ Your password is now reset. You can log in to Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and other district apps.


🔄 Want to Change Your Password Instead?

Use this if you know your current password and want to update it

✅ Steps:

  1. Go to myaccount.microsoft.com.

  2. Sign in with your SCASD email and current password.

  3. In the left-hand menu, click Overview.

  4. In the center of the screen, click the Change Password box.

  5. Enter your current password, then your new password twice.

  6. Click Save.

🔒 Tip: Use a strong password with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid using personal info or common words.
