How to create an archive of video footage

Archiving video footage is a great way to save captures needing to be viewed at a later time. This guide will show users how to do just that in the Verkada camera security system.

 Instructions

1. Open Google Chrome > click on the Google Apps waffle and scroll down to find Verkada

2. Click on the camera that footage should be archived from then find and click the Archive button below the camera view. Scroll down a little bit to find the + Add Archive button - click this button to begin making the archive

3. The Archive Clip box opens. Users have a few options to choose from but are not necessarily required to create the archive:

   1. Note - add notes here for quick reference to the happenings in the archive

   2. Tags - add tags to quickly find the footage labeled with a specific tag or tags

   3. Blur Faces - hover over this options ? to see important details regarding the settings

   4. Timestamp location - pick where the timestamp is positioned on the footage when done archiving

4. When ready, click the black Create Archive button to begin creating the archive - please be patient during this process as it can take several minutes. You should receive an email when the footage is ready for viewing
