How to allow pending employee access to Employee Records

When new hires are still in the pending status, and they have not yet been provided a SCASD email/userID, refer to the instructions below to provide the pending employee access into Employee Records.

This is used when a candidate has been chosen and the begin hire process has been started from Applicant Tracking. The new hire will need access to Employee Records to complete required paperwork and provide employment documents.

 How to Toggle Bypass Mode

  1. Log in to Employee Records.

    1. Records can be found in the Powerschool Folder on Launchpad at https://launchpad.classlink.com/statecollege

  2. Using the search function, find the desired pending employee.

  3. Select the Edit Staff button at the top right of the Employee detail screen.

  4. Scroll down the Staff Member screen to find the checkbox: Do not authenticate with OIDC

    1. When checked, the employee’s account is in bypass mode and able to login with personal email address

    2. When unchecked, the employee’s account is not in bypass mode and requires a SCASD email to login.

This setting should only be checked before the employee has an active SCASD email address.

 How Pending Employees log in with Bypass Mode

  1. After HR has checked the box, pending employees are sent the following link:
    https://scasd.tedk12.com/sso/newhire

  2. Select the Logging in for the first time? button

  3. Enter the email that was entered
