How to View Student IEP, GIEP, or Other Special Programs Documents in PowerSchool SIS
Teachers can easily access view-only versions of finalized student Special Programs documents—such as IEPs, GIEPs, or 504 Plans—directly from the PowerSchool SIS. Here's how:
🔍 Step-by-Step Instructions
Option 1: Using Icons
In SIS, search for the student you wish to view Special Programs documents for.
Look for the Special Programs alert icon next to a student’s name.
Icons may be labeled IEP, GT, or show a general Special Education document symbol.
Click the alert icon to open a pop-up window.
The pop-up will display a link to the student’s Special Programs profile.
Click the link to view the student’s documents in read-only mode.
Option 2: Under Student Profile
Search for the student you wish to view Special Programs documents for.
Navigate to Courses and Programs → Special Programs Documents on the left-hand side.
Click on the document you would like to view.
🛡️ What You’ll See
Teachers will have read-only access to the student’s active, finalized Special Programs documents.
This includes IEPs, GIEPs, 504 Plans, and other relevant documentation.
No editing or downloading is permitted—this ensures document integrity and compliance.
✅ Tips & Reminders
If you don’t see an alert icon, the student may not currently have active Special Programs documentation.
