Delta Student (BYOD) Device Requests

Delta students wishing to use their own equipment on the SCASD network (this includes smartphones, tablets and laptops) must create a ticket that contains specific information.  Once the ticket is submitted, we will reach out to Parents/Guardians as they must approve the use of this device. 

Submit a ticket

  1. Students should submit a ticket using the following link:

  2. The ticket MUST include the following information:

    1. Summary: “[Your name] BYOD Request”

    2. Building: Delta

    3. District Location: [leave blank]

    4. Description:

      • Device type (Laptop, Phone, Tablet, etc.)

      • Device Description (ex. Dell Chromebook, iPhone 15, iPad 4)

      • Enter MAC Address of device (this is a 12-digit code which may include both numbers and letters)

      • Contact name and email of a Parent/Guardian who will approve the request

  3. Click ‘Send’

Once the ticket is submitted, IT Services will review the request and reach out to a Parent/Guardian for approval

Locating MAC Address

  1. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences...

  2. In System Preferences, from the View menu, select Network

  3. Click the name of your connection (e.g., Wi-Fi, AirPort, Ethernet, Built-in Ethernet).

  4. Click Advanced..., and in the sheet that appears, click the Hardware, Ethernet, or AirPort tab.

The address is the string of letters and numbers next to MAC Address, Ethernet ID, or AirPort ID

  1. Select Settings app

  2. Select General

  3. Go to About

A Wi-Fi Address displays. This is your device’s MAC address.

  1. Click Start button or press the Windows key

  2. In the search box, type cmd

  3. Press Enter
    A command window displays.

  4. Type ipconfig /all

  5. Press Enter

A Physical Address displays for each adapter. The Physical Address is your device’s MAC address. You will be looking for the wireless adapters ethernet address.

Setting menus differ for each device. In most cases, you can follow the procedure listed here to locate your MAC address.

  1. Select Settings

  2. Select About Device

  3. Go to Status
