High School - B229 / B230 Technology
When utilizing a shared space in the school for large groups, such as an auditorium or multi-purpose room, the technology available can significantly enhance the experience. These spaces are typically equipped with advanced projection systems and various other technologies to support presentations, meetings, and events. The B229/B230 space is a diverse space that can be used as one large room, or two separate rooms, depending on the needs of the guests.
Available Technology:
How to use Projector/Control Panel:
The projectors in this space are controlled by the touchpad out in the foyer of B229 and can be changed depending on the setup of the room. The room can be setup in two different ways, either with the divider wall open so B229/230 is a large, combined room, or with the wall closed, so B229 and B230 are separate rooms with separate projection systems.
If the wall is open and the space is one big open room, the panel in the foyer needs to have the top right button press (Join)
If the wall is closed, then the top left button will need to be pressed (Split)
As long as the touchpad out front is setup correctly, you will just need to plug in your laptop to the dongle that is attached to the VGA cable, and plug in the headphone jack into the appropriate port on your laptop (Please note, in the other classrooms at the HS, a HDMI dongle is needed. In this space, a VGA dongle and headphone jack are utilized for audio and video)
Other Panels in the Space:
There are several other panels inside the B229/B230 space that will need to be utilized when having a meeting.
This panel controls the projection screens. The front button is for the screen near the middle of the room and the rear button is for the screen at the back of the space. There is one of these panels on each side. If the divider in the room is open and it is being used as one large room, both of the buttons will need to be pressed down for the Rear screen. Once the rocker button is pressed down, the screen will come down automatically and stop on it’s own.
This panel controls the divider wall. The panel in B229 has a key that needs to be turned along with a button that needs to be pressed, and in B230 there is a button that needs to be pressed. The key needs to be turned and both buttons pressed at the same time for the divider wall to come out. The building custodians have a key for this and will setup the room prior to use.
This panel is used to control the shades and blackout curtains of the room. There is one panel on each side and the rockers can be pressed down to lower the shades and up to raise them.
Utilizing these tools can make events more effective and engaging, helping to communicate information clearly and interactively to large audiences. If you need assistance with setting up or using this technology, the IT support team is always available to help.
