The system provides detailed reports and insights after each drill, helping schools identify areas for improvement and maintain a high standard of preparedness

🧭 Overview

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for planning, initiating, and completing safety drills using the Raptor Emergency Management System. It is intended for authorized staff with appropriate permissions.


🟢 Step 1: Log In


🏫 Step 2: Access Drill Manager

  • Navigate to:
    Products → Emergency Management → Drill Manager

  • Select your building from the dropdown list if not preselected


📅 Step 3: Plan a Drill

  • In the Drill Manager, locate the drill you want to plan

  • Click the Plan button next to the drill

  • Select the desired date using the calendar icon

  • Click Save Planned Date


🚨 Step 4: Initiate a Drill

🔒 Permissions Required
Only users with “Can Initiate” and “End Incidents” permissions can initiate drills. A building must be selected before the Initiate a Drill button becomes available.

  • Go to the Drill Schedules tab

  • You can either:

    • Click Initiate a Drill in the upper-right corner

    • Or click Initiate next to a specific drill in the Individual Drill Requirements grid

  • Select the drill type (e.g., Evacuation, Lockdown, Stay-Put)

  • Choose a sub-type if applicable (e.g., Fire, Intruder)

  • Click Initiate Drill

  • A countdown pop-up will appear (e.g., “Drill will be initiated in 3 seconds”)

  • To cancel, click Cancel before the countdown ends


✅ Step 5: Complete a Drill

  • In the drill list, click Complete next to the planned drill

  • Enter the actual date the drill occurred

  • Add any relevant notes

  • Click Save to mark the drill as completed


📌 Notes

  • Drill status updates automatically once saved

  • You can attach documentation during the completion step

  • Use the Review button to view drill details or compliance status

  • Drill availability is based on the Emergency Management Policy Type configured in the General Module Settings
