Using Canvas inbox to email my student's teacher
Canvas has a built-in messaging system that allows teachers, students and parents to easily communicate. Choose the device below for more information about how to use this Canvas feature.

In the Global Navigation bar on the left, choose Inbox.
Filter your messages by course or group [1] and type [2]. Filtering by type lets you filter messages by Inbox, Unread, Starred, Sent, Archived, and Submission Comments. You can compose a message at any time using the compose icon [3].You can also search for conversations by user in the Search by user field [4].
Once you have selected a conversation, you can use the other options in the toolbar to:
Reply to a conversation
Reply-all to a conversation
Archive a conversation
Delete a conversation
Forward, mark a conversation as read or unread, and star conversations
Android
Tap a course name.
Tap the message icon in the lower right corner.
The course instructor's name automatically displays in the To field [1]. You can add or remove recipient(s) by tapping the Recipients icon [2].
The subject of the message displays automatically. Edit the subject content, by tapping the Subject field [3].
To compose your message, tap the Message field [4].
To attach a file to your message, click the Attach icon [5].Tap the Send button (next to the Attach button) when
