Using Zoom Waiting Rooms

The Meeting Room setting is enforced on a Domain Level and this setting cannot be changed.

 

Step 1. Change Setting

  1. Open a web browser and go to https://zoom.us/profile/setting

  2. Click Sign In

  3. Sign in with Google (If prompted, select your SCASD account)

     

  4. Go to In Meeting (Advanced) settings and turn on Waiting Room

     

Step 2: Login to Zoom/Send Invite

  1. Open Zoom Application and make sure you are logged in with your SCASD Account.

  2. If not, click Sign In then Sign in with Google (If prompted, select your SCASD account).

     

  3. Send invitation link to your class or participants

 

Step 3: Accept Participant

Accept in Meeting

  1. When people start to join the Zoom room a notification will appear at the Manage Participant tab at the bottom 

     

  2. Click Manage Participants to open the participant menu and to admit participants into your room

     

Accept While Screen Sharing

  1. When someone joins the Waiting Room, a doorbell sound will alert you and a notification will appear in the Zoom Menu Bar

  2. Highlight the green Meeting ID to show the Zoom Meeting Bar

  3. Click Manage Participants to show the participant menu

  4. Click Admit to allow entry into the room
