What are the days and hours that are displayed?
The days and hours displayed are your current balance. This is the amount of time you have available to take for each specific leave type.
Why is my current balance lower than my initial balance?
Your current balance factors in the time you have used so far. Therefore, this is showing what you have left to use for each specific leave type.
Why is my current balance lower than it should be, I haven't used that much time yet?
Your current balance also factors in any pending (or future) absences. While you have not yet used this time, it has already been requested and approved. The current balance factors these requests to determine the amount of time you have left to use for each specific leave type.
Please be aware that time-off requests will not be deducted from your current balance until 24 hours after it has been approved |
What is my accrued initial balance?
Your accrued initial balance is the running total of all the hours allotted to you according to your contract over the year for each specific leave type. This total DOES NOT factor in any used time.
If you are looking at previous months, it will show what your initial balance was during that month |
Why is my initial balance staying the same for future months?
You have not accrued that time yet, so future months will only show the most recent month in which you accrued time.
If you accrue time annually, your accrued initial balance will always be as of July 1st of the current year |
What is my remaining unused balance?
Your remaining unused balance is all the time you have left to use at the end of the month/year for each specific leave type.
Why is my remaining unused balance different than my accrued initial balance?
Your remaining unused balance factors in the time you have used so far to show what you have left to use for each specific leave type.
Why is my remaining unused balance less than my accrued initial balance if I haven't used any time this month?
Your remaining unused balance factors in the time you used during previous months for each specific leave type.
What are my earned values?
Values in the earned column show the time that has been allocated to you according to your contract with HR
Please be aware that this time is allocated either monthly or annually according to your contract |
What are my used values?
Values in the used column show the time that you have taken that month or over the year. Think of this as the time you have already taken advantage of using.
What are my pending values?
Values in the pending column show the time that you have requested for a future date. You have not yet used this time, but you will in the future. Think of this as the time you have requested off, but you haven't used it yet.
Since 2020 is the first fiscal year using this webpage, we currently only have this data stored. In fiscal years after 2020, you will be able to look back on previous fiscal years.
Your hours are accurate and rounded to the nearest 100th of a decimal.
Balances are updated in the early morning
If you just entered a request into Aesop, you will need to wait 24 hours after it was approved for it to be reflected properly on the website. |
